What is an SWL Event?
When an organization decides to host a SWL event, invited families create stuffed gifts that will be given to an organization for children in need. Kidz Give Back Foundation provides the host organization with a personalized letter, asking friends, colleagues, relatives and/or neighbors to support their SWL event. Participants register through a link on the personalized letter and donate $25 per gift to Kidz Give Back Foundation. The host organization receives confirmations of registrants as they sign up for their SWL event. Once registration is closed, Kidz Give Back Foundation sends the host organization all of the materials necessary to create the gifts.
Prior to the event, the host organization prepares any donated SWL kits from participants who knew they would be unable to attend the event but donated $25 kits. These “unstuffed” SWL kits will be given to the children in need to create themselves.
On the charity event date, SWL participants will arrive at the host organization’s designated space ready to create stuffed animal gifts. Each participant will be given a SWL non woven bag as a kit which includes all materials needed to create their gift Each participant will also receive a silicone “Stuffed With Love” bracelet to remind him/her of the amazing accomplishment. If any participants fail to attend, the host organization will donate the SWL kits for the children in need to create on their own. Finally, the host organization ensures delivery of the stuffed gifts to the chosen children’s charity.
What started as an idea from two young girls has blossomed into an incredible outpouring of hundreds of children that spend the day after Thanksgiving working to provide love to children in desperate need. As you view the smiling faces of our children at work, please do all you can to support the work of Kidz Give Back Foundation and “Stuffed With Love”. Working together we can continue to increase the number of animals that provide love and support to children suffering from cancer, rare blood diseases, domestic violence, & severe financial hardship.
